DV2025 Green Card Lottery Photo Requirements
Green Card Lottery applicants entering the DV2025 lottery must provide a recent digital image of themselves and a recent digital image of all their co-applicants such as spouses and children. Applicants will need an electronic file containing your digital photo that can be upload on-line upon successful registration.
Digital images that do not comply 100% with all the specifications and requirements below, not limited to recency of the photos, composition of the photos, and unacceptable backgrounds will be grounds for disqualification of the applicants entire Green Card Lottery Application. Applicants that manipulate their digital images that alters the facial characteristics will also have their entire Green Card Lottery application disqualified. Applicants that fail to upload correct photographs of each individual and co-applicant, will have their entire application disqualified and refusal of all visas associated with the case at the time of the green card interview. The provided digital images must be at a minimum 24-bit color depth, i.e. black and white digital images will not be accepted. Applicants in the digital photographs shall be in front of a neutral, light-colored background. Digital images of applicants in front of dark or patterned backgrounds will not accepted. Digital images in which the applicant is wearing sunglasses or any other items that detract from the face will not be accepted. Digital images of applicants wearing head coverings or hats will only be accepted if the head covering is worn for religious beliefs only; even then, the head covering may not obscure any portion of the face of the applicant. Digital images of applicants with tribal or other headgear not worn for religious reasons will not be accepted; photographs of military, airline, or other personnel wearing hats will not be accepted either.
Note, a new requirement is that no applicant can wear eye glasses on the submitted photos.
